Fall Preseason

Pre-season is a tremendously important week that serves two main purposes.
First and foremost it sets the tone for the year ahead. With the departure of the previous year's graduated seniors, along with the advancement of rowers up the ranks (JV to Varsity for example), we get a really good look at who we have and a sense of what we are capable of. It is an important period when younger athletes get to experience what new leadership looks like, ahead of their vote for captains.

It is also a time when we make sure that athletes are in the correct group (V/JV/N), or if some changes need to be made. Who is willing to bring intensity, hard work, discipline, and listen to and apply changes.

This year's preseason runs 8/29 - 9/2 as follows:

Please note that Friday's practice is a combined, team-wide practice at Orchard Beach, what we affectionately refer to as the Summer Olympics. We will meet at the Marina and depart at 6:30 am sharp for a run to the beach, returning to the Marina around 8:30 am.

ALL athletes hoping to be part of our Fall competitive program are expected to attend Pre-Season.
If you registered and paid for 'Full Summer" programming, pre-season is already included.

Athletes who only rowed partial, or no summer, or who are new to CIR need to register for Preseason.

Registration is open on Regatta Central.
