Left thumb is the starboard blade, right thumb is port. Tap both together at the catch, as the rings light up, and the boat goes straight. Whichever thumb goes in first is the pressure side: right first and the bow swings to starboard, left first and it swings to port. The bigger the gap, the harder the turn and the less the power.
tap it round
One thumb on its own between catches turns the boat with that blade. No speed, just direction.
look
Hold the look button, top left. You see ahead. It costs speed and the boat drifts.

space
Catch. The blades swing forward on their own; hit space the instant they reach the two rings. The rings flash green for a clean catch, amber for early or late, red for a miss. Tapping in between does nothing.

Look over your shoulder. You see ahead. It costs speed and the boat drifts.

marks
Green marks are left to starboard: pass on their left. Red marks are left to port: pass on their right. The wrong side is a penalty. Rocks, branches, pots and moorings, either side.
bridges
Through the span. The piers and fender walls are hard.
wake
Let it run. No catch while the wake is under you. Catch in it and you crab.
