USRowing requires each of its Member Organizations to have a SafeSport Policy in place. 

CIR is fully committed to the safety and well-being of our athletes and readily complies with this mandate.

Education and Training

All CIR key personnel (coaches and chaperones) and Board members, must complete the SafeSport Certification and remain compliant.

All athletes who are 18 years of age or older must complete the SafeSport Core Certification process.

This is easiest accessed through your USRowing membership portal, in the menu on the left.

 

CIR highly recommends that all athletes and parents complete the relevant SafeSport online mini-course.
These are scaled-down modules for athletes and parents.

Minor athletes should highly consider the SafeSport for High School Athletes course.

Parents of minor athletes are encouraged to take the Parents Guide to Misconduct course.

Reporting

Any complaints should be reported to either the CIR SafeSport Officer or Board President as listed in the Policy
