The U.S. Center for SafeSport sets the athlete-safety standards that every club in the USRowing community follows. CIR is fully committed to the safety and well-being of our athletes and readily complies with this mandate.
Coaches, chaperones, and board members complete SafeSport certification, remain compliant with it, and pass a background check.
Athletes 18 and over must complete the SafeSport Core certification, accessed through the USRowing membership portal.
Recommended: for minor athletes, the SafeSport for High School Athletes course; for parents, the Parents Guide to Misconduct course. Both are available through the USRowing portal or at safesporttrained.org.
